The beauty school franchise, The Salon Professional Academy, has opened a new location in Rapid City, SD. Ron and Wendy Beaumont acquired the former business, Black Hills Beauty College, and are transforming everything from the education and skills taught to students, to the brand, salon services and professional retail products available for sale. Wendy, an educator of the previous school, had always had a dream of operating a beauty school of her own; and after a discussion with the school owners presented an opportunity to purchase the school – Wendy began doing her research. That is when their search led them to the nationwide system of schools known as The Salon Professional Academy (TSPA) . Wendy shared that, “Their modern approach to preparing students for long-term success in the industry aligned with our own goals. Plus, the opportunities their system makes available for training and supporting our team was the combination we were looking for.” Wendy also shared “ We are thrilled to offer our students skills training beyond the salon that include social media marketing, business-building tools, and guest management that directly contribute to their earning potential.”
The Beaumonts were also excited by TSPA’s unique partnership with Redken 5th Avenue as a key driver of education, career opportunities, and professional brand. That “partnership” refers to the co-development by Redken 5th Avenue NYC and TSPA of the curriculum, brand, advanced training, and design. TSPA is a certified Redken Business Resource and are the only beauty schools in the country awarded the “Recognized by Redken for Excellence in Education” designation.
